Granny heads west

Back in July, the sheriff of this here family took two of her favorite deputies on a road trip out west to the South Dakota territory.

They admired the, uh, virility of the local wildlife.

They met the kindly townsfolk.

When in Rome...?

(That picture never fails to crack me up no matter how many times I see it!)

They gambled a little in Deadwood.

They tried out some pioneer fashions...

Terry apparently thought about robbing a bank! Maybe she lost more in Deadwood than she let on!

Here they are at Mount Rushmore.

Just in case the giant carved mountain is hard to see, Susie's pointing it out :)

Granny contemplated whether or not teepees were wheelchair accessible.

A lot of travelling brings out Granny's fiesty side!

Susie tried out her veterinary skills and examined the buffalo's posterior.

I guess travelling brings out Terry's frisky side as well!

No visit to the Hills is complete without a trip to Wall Drug.

A great time was had by all! Thanks to Susie for the fabulous pictures. (FYI, she also has some pretty funny ones of Granny in the hotel room that didn't make the cut here, but may be available to the highest bidder. You'll have to check with Susie on that! :)
